What is a Genesis Laser Facial?

A gentle laser facial that activates collagen remodeling to improve the appearance of rosacea/redness, fine lines, and diminish overall signs of aging.

Although the individual treatment results are subtle, the overall effect of a treatment series can be quite dramatic.

What are the benefits of Genesis?

  • Safely and gently treats diffuse redness
  • Fades acne scarring
  • Continuously stimulates new collagen production
  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
  • Naturally promotes a healthy look

What areas can I get treated with Genesis?

Reneux offers treatment for the entire face!

Can anyone do Genesis?

Most skin types are candidates for this treatment. Laser Genesis cannot be performed on patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Our providers can determine if Genesis is right for you!

How frequently should I get Genesis?

We recommend a series of at least 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart, and a maintenance treatment every 3-4 months. This will vary depending on your baseline skin condition.

What is my recovery time?

No downtime is needed! You may be a little red post treatment, but this usually subsides within a few hours of treatment. You can immediately return to normal activities, utilizing sunscreen if participating in outdoor activities.

What's the difference?

What is a physical sunscreen vs. a chemical sunscreen?

Physical sunscreens use physical filters, titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide, as their active sun protective ingredients. Chemical sunscreens, on the other hand, use various chemical filters (octinoxate, oxybenzone, avobenzone, etc.) as their active sun protective ingredients.

Why does Reneux recommend physical sunscreens?
