Q: Who is TED recommended for?
A: Men & women experiencing hair loss, thinning hair, or excessive shedding may find the TED treatment beneficial.
Q: Are there any contraindications that may make me ineligible?
A: There are a few contraindications, including but not limited to, irritation/rashes (e.g. psoriasis/eczema) in the scalp, metal implants near the treatment area, and pacemakers or defibrillators. A consultation with one of our physicians is required to determine if you are eligible for treatment.
Q: Does it hurt?
A: No! TED uses ultrasound therapy in conjunction with a proprietary serum to stimulate hair growth and involves no pain at all. Some patients have even said that they could fall asleep during treatment if they could sleep sitting up!
Q: How often do I need to get the treatment?
A: For your initial 4 treatment series, you will need to come in 1 time per month for treatment. After you complete your series, you will need maintenance treatments anywhere from quarterly to annually depending on a few factors, including age and extent of hair thinning.
